OCR: JERRY PALMER Terry Palmer likes to say he is Jone of the few people in the world who is doing what he likes best for a living. And when you meet him, his enthusiasm makes you à believer, In 1974, Palmer became the head of Chevrolet Exterior 3, which included the Camaro and Firebird as well as the Corvette. He is the designer most responsible for the fourth- generation Corvette, which was launched in 1984. Working with designers John Cafaro, Randy Wittine, Ted Schroeder and Roger Hughet, Palmer developed the clean form that was reminiscent of the previous car proportionally, but different enough to be fresh, "Jerry and his team brought the Corvette forward into a new era," said Ludvigsen.
